Transit Evacuation Planning

BACKGROUND

In partnership with June Kailes, The Partnership developed transit evacuation planning guidance and a checklist for emergency managers, planners, and individuals to use when evaluating current evacuation plans, preparing for disaster events, and creating personal preparedness evacuation plans.

The Partnership, in collaboration with Justice Shorter of SeededGround and June Kailes, also provides the Roadmap as a resource for inclusive transportation evacuation planning. The Roadmap is a concise yet clear summary of reflections, report outs, and recommendations shared throughout two Transportation Evacuation Think Tank sessions held in February 2025.

If you have any accessibility questions or concerns, please contact Priya Penner at priya@disasterstrategies.org.
