Originally from California, Michelle is a queer, disabled activist, accessibility specialist, and organizer. For over a decade, they have worked at the intersections of disability, housing, education, and public health, both nationally and internationally.
Michelle has supported accessibility efforts within the National Institutes of Health programs, worked with The Kelsey to advance disability-forward affordable housing, and partnered with universities, religious organizations, and the American Association on Health and Disability (AAHD) to improve accessibility practices and inclusion. Across all their work, Michelle is committed to disability justice, working to dismantle ableism and build a more accessible world.
Outside of organizing and advocacy, Michelle is an adaptive athlete who enjoys climbing and surfing, always finding new ways to engage with movement, the outdoors, and the crip
community.
