This June, The Partnership comes together with the queer community to celebrate Pride Month. We celebrate the LGBTQ+ community’s indomitable spirit and underscore the need to continue to fight for our liberation. This month as well as throughout the year, we amplify the voices of queer disabled people, especially queer disabled people of color, while advocating for justice for all disabled people throughout disasters.
It’s crucial to remember that Pride is not just a celebration; it's a call to action. The Partnership is in solidarity with queer and trans people of color, queer disabled individuals, and other folks with intersectional identities who disproportionately face the effects of oppression. Together, we strive to dismantle systemic oppression, promote inclusivity and equitable access, and create a society where the expertise and experiences of multiply marginalized disabled people are prioritized during disasters.
Happy Pride Month!
