DHS CRCL & Disability Community Stakeholder Listening Session
Department of Homeland Security
Office of Civil Rights and Civil Liberties and
Disability Community Stakeholder Listening Session
On February 4, 2021, The Partnership hosted a listening session between The Department of Homeland Security Office of Civil Rights and Civil Liberties (DHS CRCL) and Disability Community Stakeholders. For the first time since the pandemic began, federal government leaders joined Disability Community Stakeholders at the table for a collaborative national conversation. We know this meaningful listening session is a promising start to a new collaborative relationship between the Disability Community Stakeholders and key government leaders. The Partnership is thrilled to continue to bring everyone together to ensure disabled people and older adults are heard before, during, and after disasters and public health emergencies.
The listening session was recorded and is available to view below. The post-produced video has ASL interpretation provided on screen, as well as English captions available via the "CC" button. For any accessibility questions or concerns, please reach out to Priya Penner at p.penner@disasterstrategies.org.
